No Comments Presenting WordPress at UI Webmasters Forum
This Thursday I’ll give a presentation on WordPress to folks at the University of Illinois’ Webmasters Forum. It should be a lot of fun.
I’ll basically explain why WordPress is a great option for small- to medium-sized groups to run their website. There should be lots to learn Thursday. Peter Morville presents the keynote.
I’ll update this post Friday or Saturday with the actual presentation and notes on how I felt about the event.
Update, May 8:
The Webmasters Forum was a good event. I enjoyed other presentations, and my presentation went well. I think eye contact was an issue for me — it often is. Have to work on that. My session was packed, and there were lots of intelligent questions by folks at the end.
Here’s a PDF of the outline I used for the presentation. The only thing I showed were the images — I don’t do boring slideshows, but prefer to show images that might be memorable or illustrative. I also don’t memorize what to say — I make sure I know the points in my outlines and then I wing it.
